The Manchester City and Roma players scored either side of a Dieumerci Mbokani penalty before Wilfried Kanon secured the win

Cote d'Ivoire secured their place in the African Cup of Nations semi-finals with a 3-1 win over Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday night.


Yaya Toure opened the scoring to give the Ivorians the lead, but it lasted just three minutes as Dieumerci Mbokani levelled matters from the penalty spot.

Gervinho popped up with a header to restore his side's lead late in the first half before a Wilfried Kanon goal sealed the deal.
